I've been waking up at 6am every morning (including weekends) since April 1st. This is extremely hard for someone who has never gone to bed before midnight, but I always had the desire to be the guy who wakes up early and has a routine of reading, writing and solace before my day starts, so I took the leap.
I found this article about a week into my attempt. It lists and details the benefits of waking up early along with some advice on how to become an early riser. If anyone desires to make the switch from night owl to early riser, it's definitely worth a read.
I don't promise I'll be waking up at 6am for the rest of my life, but so far its been really great. I still haven't mastered getting to bed at a reasonable time.
